Manufacturing Engineer in Orrville, OH

A global leader in design, development, and manufacturing of heavy duty off road construction equipment is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with the following background. This applicant will be responsible for all detailed processes in connection with manufacturing, routings, improvements, and cost reductions. - Be a resource to manufacturing departments to help resolve daily production and safety issues- Will be in charge monitoring the main assembly line, observing and making process improvements and insuring better assembly practices. 75% of day will be spent on efficiency issues. 25% of day will be spent on safety projects/meetings, capital projects, cost saving- Prepare related analysis, layouts, and other supportive data. Prepare cost estimates using alternative production methods- Review and evaluate engineering documentation (drawings and Bill of Materials)- Recommend tooling qualifications. Work and cooperate with tool design and manufacturing personnel to develop effective tooling- Take time studies on a group or individual in labor operations to develop date/or verify existing dataQualifications
